Accessibility statement
Themex is committed to making its platform accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies.
Our commitment
We design and build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. This includes: sufficient colour contrast ratios across all system palettes; keyboard-navigable interfaces; proper ARIA roles and labels; semantic HTML; and meaningful alt text for all meaningful images.
Conformance status
Themex is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some content does not yet fully conform, typically in third-party embedded components that we are actively working to replace or remediate.
Known issues
We are aware of the following issues currently under remediation:
- Some instrument controls require keyboard enhancement work (in progress, Q2 2026)
- PDF exports from the Resource Generator do not yet include full document structure tags
Compatibility
Themex is designed for use with modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — current and prior two versions). Screen reader testing is conducted with NVDA + Firefox and VoiceOver + Safari.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please email [email protected] with a description of the issue and the page or tool affected. We aim to respond within five business days.
Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Canadian Human Rights Commission or, for users in the EEA, your national disability equality body.
